Rare Signed Book By William Zeckendorf
ZECKENDORF, William (1925-1976). American real estate developer who developed a significant portion of New York City’s urban landscape. His once owned property that was donated for the building of the United Nations Building. He owned the Chrysler Building and the Hotel Astor. He married former Mrs. Alice Bache widow of the man who built Bache & Co. His book: Zeckendorf, The Autobiography of the man who played a real life game of Monopoly and won the largest real estate empire in history.” Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1970, First Edition so stated. Three hundred and twelve pages, illustrated. On the title page is the following ink inscription: “To an old friend and colleague Dick Fonton with best wishes from Bill Zeckendorf.” A fine copy with the uncommon dust jacket.
