The Splendid Splinter-Possibly the Greatest Hitter of All Time

WILLIAMS, Ted  (1918-2002). American professional baseball player and manager. His entire 19 year career was as a left-fielder for the Boston Red Sox. One of the greatest baseball players in history. He was inducted into the Baseball hall of Fame in 1966. On a 1954 baseball card, #40, Ted gives his elbow and arm a whirlpool treatment.  At the age of 35, Williams fractured his elbow which caused his absence from baseball for over a year.  Boldly autographed by Ted Williams across his portrait. Not common as such. Minor remnants of tape residue at the top and bottom of the card..
