Discoverer of the Carlsbad Caverns WHITE, James Larkin  (1882-  ?)  Discovered the Carlsbad Caverns in 1901. It is the world’s most spectacular underground phenomenon. His book: Jim White’s Own Story, The Discovery and History of Carlsbad Caverns.  Wrappers, 1932, heavily illustrated. Title page has a portrait of Jim White.
