WESTOVER, Russ (1886-1966) Cartoonist with the San Francisco Bull (1904-1908). Later with the New York Herald. Joined King Features Syndicate in 1921. He created the comic series Tillie The Toiler which appeared in over 600 newspapers. He also created the strip The Van Swaggers. Original ink wash of a face of an attractive woman with long hair and wearing a hat, 8” 8”x10” inscribed and signed to a friend. Very light discoloration at bottom of page otherwise in very good condition. A wonderful item for framing..............................$125.00
