WATERGATE  SCANDAL

WATERGATE SCANDAL.  Outstanding collection of many of the major players of the criminal act of breaking in and bugging the Democratic National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. regarding the 1972 Presidential campaign. Signatures of  Richard Nixon, on his portrait on a cover, President who faced impeachment for his part in the cover-up and first President to resign,  Gerald R. Ford, Nixon’s successor, pardoned Nixon, signature on a partial page from a limited edition signed book, Carl Bernstein, journalist, investigator who broke the scandal, G. Gordon Liddy, former F.B.I. Agent, convicted of conspiracy, burglary and illegal wiretapping, fine signature and sentiment on a bookplate,  Jeb Stuart Magruder, Director of White House Communication, pleaded guilty of conspiracy, wonderful signature and date on a 3”x5”card,  James D. St. Clair and his wife Billie N. St. Clair, James was Special Counsel to President Nixon, James St. Clair and his wife have both signed a First Day Cover, John J, Sirica, Presiding Judge of the Watergate Trials, fabulous signature on a bookplate,  James Dean, counsel to President Nixon, fine signature on a 3”x5” card, Herbert W. Kalmbroch, personal attorney to Nixon, fine signature on a First Day Cover,  Lowell Weicker, U.S. Senator from Connecticut, served on the Senate Watergate Committee,  Samuel Dash, Special Counsel to the Watergate Committee, his important and decisive questions helped bring out some of the cover-up and lies at the hearing, fine signature, inscribed along with a sentiment on a large index card, Joe M. Montoya, U.S. Senator from New Mexico, member of Senate Watergate Committee, signature on a First Day Cover,  John S. Ehrlichman, chief domestic affairs advisor under Nixon, convicted of conspiracy, obstruction of justice and perjury, signature and date (6.15.81) on a First Day Cover,  H.R. Halderman, White House Chief of Staff, convicted of conspiracy, obstruction and three counts of perjury, Maurice Stans, Nixon’s Secretary of Commerce, in charge of the finances of the re-election committee, wonderful signature and two word sentiment on a slip,  Sam J. Ervin, Senator from North Carolina, Chairman of the Senate Watergate Committee, fine signature adding “U.S. Senator-N.C.), E. Howard Hunt, Former C.I.A. Agent and White House Consultant, convicted Watergate conspirator, fabulous full signature inscribed and signed on a 3”x5” card, John W. Mitchell, Nixon’s Attorney General who left the post to head the Re-election Committee, convicted and sent to jail, wonderful signature on a 3”x5” card.  A fine and substantial Watergate related collection consisting of many of the major players.......................
