WALLACE, Roderick J. (1873-1960) Major League baseball infielder, pitcher, manager, umpire and scout. Wallace claimed to invent the continuous throwing motion of the shortstop. Major League debut in September 1894. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, 1953. Rare autograph letter signed on a brown 3.5”x6” card. “El Segundo, Calif. 9/9/59.
