Three album pages covering three “1928” Season Teams. On December 2, 1928, the first radio broadcast of a hockey game in Montreal took place. New York Rangers (1928-29). This team started in 1926. Album page which 12 members of the team have signed. “Ching” Johnson (HOF 1958), Taffey Abel (First 1973 Enshrinee in the U.S. Hockey HOF), Bill Cook (HOF 1952), Bunny Cook (HOF 1995), Bill Boyd, Paul Thompson, Harry Westerly (trainer), Leo Bourgeault, Murry Murdoch and Lester Patrick (HOF 1947) who was the legendary owner of the New York Rangers. Album page where 13 legendary players have signed including the Coach, Cecil Hart (188301940). He was one of NHL’s greatest coaches. Hart coached Montreal to the Stanley Cup. His record is unmatched with back to back titles. He is a direct descendent of Canada’s first Jewish settler. Hart memorial Award named in his honor to the NHL player to have been the most valuable to his team. The album page is also signed by Howie Morenz (died 1938) and he is one of the scarcest signatures in vintage hockey. He won the hart Award in 1928. Signing is Herb Gardiner (HOF 1958) who won the Hart Award in 1927, Sylvio Mantha (HOF 1960), Albert “Battleship” Ledue, Art Gagne, George Patterson, Pip Lepine, Wildor Larochelle, Leo Gaudreault and George Hainsworth (189501950) (HOF 1961) and first recipient of the Vezina Trophy. In 44 games he recorded 22 shutouts. The Montreal Canadiens was one of the most famous teams in NHL history, the all time winning 1928 team won the O’Brien Trophy.. **SOLD**Montreal Maroons (1928).
