U. THANT (1909-1974) Burmese official, Secretary General of the United Nations from 1961-1971. Official U.N. photograph, N.Y. Sept, 1965, printed on the verso with a lengthy biographical sketch. Head and shoulders pose, B&W, 8”x10”. On the clear portion of the photograph the Secretary General has inscribed and signed with his double signature and date it 17 May 1968.
