Maitre d’ of the Ambassador Hotel who led RFK through the kitchen
EUCKER, Karl A Maitre d’ of the Hotel Ambassador who led the way and walked Robert Kennedy through the kitchen of the hotel while holding on to the right wrist of RFK. Along with RFK he also had hold of Ethel Kennedy. Eucker was dressed in a tuxedo and saw Sirhan who looked to be just another bus boy who wanted to shake the hand of Kennedy. Eucker watched Sirhan pushing forward and stopped his movement. Sirhan pulled a revolver from his pants and opened fire, After the second shot Eucker pushed Sirhan’s hand which held the gun and pinned him against the steam table. Black bordered cover with a cachet of JFK and RFK walking together, Apollo 8 stamp cancelled Los Angeles June 6, 1969. Fine scarce signature of Karl A. Eucker in a clear area of the cover. Not a common autograph. In fine condition...............$75.00
