TOMBAUGH, Clyde W. (1906-1997). Astronomer, author. Discovered the ninth planet Pluto at Lowell Observatory, Flagstaff, Arizona in February 1930. He holds the distinction of being the only person in the 20th century to have discovered a planet. Printed document titled The Ten Special Commandments For A Would be planet Hunter According to Clyde Tombaugh.
