TAYLOR, Zachary (1784-1850) Slave owner, American military leader. Commanded troops in the War of 1812, the Black Hawk War (1832), Second of Seminole Wars, Mexican War which broke out after the US annexation of Texas. (1835-1842). He became a national hero for his victories during the Mexican American War. Closing on the verso of an A.L.S. “truly and sincerely, your friend Z. Taylor.” Affixed to a 3”x5” card. Very boldly written with some show through. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authenticated coffin along with other Taylor trivia.................$1075.00
