SUE, Eugene (1804-1857). French novelist who studied painting and medicine. Served six years as a Naval surgeon. Best noted for his “Mysteries de Paris” (1842-1843) and “Wandering Jew” (1844-1845). He lived in exile after the coup d’etat of Napoleon III on December 2,1851. Six line autograph note signed in full. Affixed to card stock along with a photograph of Sue.
