Creator of the Little League
STOTZ, Carl (1910-1992). Baseball innovator, Founder of the Little League, He began developing the Little League is 1938 and the first game was played the following year. He managed the first three Little League teams and by 1947 the organization had expanded to 48 teams in twelve leagues. Stotz remained as president with Little League baseball until 1955.
