STENSETH, Martinus (1890-1979). American fighter pilot in WW1. Flew with the 28 Squadron. Ace with a confirmed 8 victories. Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, on small writing stationery. Dec. 11, 1974. To Dear Mr. Martin. He writes in part: “I served with the 28th Pursuit Squadron, 3rd Pursuit Group in the Verdun front….from late Aug. 1918 to the end of the conflict, after that I served in the Baltic States on the Hoover Relief Commission. I received all of my pilot training in France, mostly on French aircraft...” Signed in full. Not a common autograph...............................$100.00
