Gift From Buffalo Bill
SITTING BULL (1831-1890) Indian Chief who led his people during the years of resistance against the U.S. Government. He was a warrior and spiritual leader. Heavy bronze belt buckle depicting a portrait of Sitting Bull. On the verso is “Gift From W.F. Cody, Buffalo Bill.” Most likely these were sold by the Buffalo Bill’s circus after Sitting Bull joined the circus in 1885. In very fine condition except for a missing clasp for a belt, easily replaceable..................................$57.50
