THEIR ROYAL MAJESTIES KING SIMEON II & QUEEN MARGARITA OF BULGARIA.
KING SIMEON II (1927- ) King of Bulgaria. Last man in the world to hold the title of “Tsar.” Tsar of Bulgaria (1943-19446). In 1946 the monarchy overthrew Simeon II and he went into exile. Fifty-five years later in 2001 he returned to the rule of leader taking office as the prime Minister of the republic of Bulgaria (2001-2005). He is the last of three heads of state from WWII.
QUEEN MARGARITA (1935- ) She is also known as Tsaritsa Margarita. Rare official photograph of the Royal couple in formal dress. Measures overall 7”x9”, B&W, Signed “Simeon II R” and inscribed signed and dated “Oct. 1970” by Margarita. In fine condition........................ $185.00
