APOLLO XIV cover signed by the Crew
SHEPARD, Alan, Ed Mitchell, and Stuart Roosa. Alan Shepard was the commander of Apollo XIV. He was the fifth person to walk on the moon. It was a nine-day mission and the third Apollo landing. Shepard was the first person to hit a golf ball on the moon. Ed Mitchell was the Lunar Module Pilot and the sixth person to walk on the moon. Both Shepard and Mitchell made two moon walks. Stuart Roosa was in command of the module pilot. A very attractive cover with a large cachet of Apollo XIV. First Man on the Moon stamp cancelled Houston, Feb. 5, 1971.
