SEMBRICH, Marcella (1858-1935). Operatic soprano. Her real name was Marcelline Praxede Kochanska. She sang at the Dresden Opera in 1878. Her American debut was as Lucia di Lammermoor with the Metropolitan Opera House in 18883. She retired in 1909.
