RYAN, Nolan (1947- ) American baseball player who had a 27 year major baseball career. He pitched for the Texas Rangers, California Angels, New York Mets and the Houston Astros. G.W. Bush before being President was a co-owner of the Rangers. Unusual FDC OF 1993 Nolan Ryan’s Farewell Tour to Baseball, with a colorful cachet of Ryan waving his hat in a good-by gesture.
