BIGGS, Ronnie (1929-Dec.18, 2013). Notorious British criminal who became known as “The Brain of the Great Train Robbery”. The robbery was of a Royal Mail Train traveling from Glasgow to London. The robbery netted about $4 million dollars which is about $65 million today. Biggs escaped from prison and evaded Scotland Yard for over 3 decades. The robbery is most likely the most famous in British history. Biggs lived in Brazil for many years never answering all his fan mail.
Very RARE tee-shit given mostly to friends of Biggs. Made of cotton, size “G” for large.
Printed in bold blue letters on the front: “I know someone who went to Brazil and met Ronnie Biggs...Honest!” On the left sleeve is a printed two car train, in red. Below the printing on the front Biggs has written, at my request in person: “The brain of the great train Robbery, Ronnie Biggs.” In very good condition, some light tan spots from storage. A fabulous item for framing. Would look wonderful in a UK pub or museum.................$350.00
