Pitched Perfect Game in 1922
ROBERTSON, Charlie (1896-1984). Professional baseball player who pitched the 5th perfect game in baseball history. It was the first perfect game pitched while on the road. Game was held at Navin Field, it was a day game on April 30, 1922. The game was between the Chicago White Sox verses the Detroit Tigers. The next perfect game was pitched 34 years later by Don Larson. Postcard photograph, B&W of Robertson pitching. Signed and dated on the verso: “Chas Robertson 4-30-79.” Signed 57 years to the day of his perfect game. Robertson autographs can be considered scarce in any form.
