Created Ripley's Believe It Or Not RIPLEY, Robert  (1890-1949). American cartoonist, sold his first cartoon to Life Magazine (1908).  He played semi-pro baseball (1908). He was the New York State handball champion and he wrote a book on boxing. Created “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not”. His book: “Believe It Or Not”.  Simon & Schuster, New York, eighteenth printing, 1930.  One hundred seventy-two pages, illustrated.  Inscribed, signed and dated on the front free endpaper. “To Jerry Sersen, with good wishes of Ripley, Believe It or Not, 1930”.  Some wear to the cover and spine otherwise good ............................SOLD
