Father of the Atomic Submarine RICKOVER, Hyman  (1900-1986).  World War II and Korean War American military leader. Developed and championed the use of nuclear-powered submarines.  Typed letter signed, one page on United States Atomic Energy Commission letterhead.  Washington, D.C. March 31, 1955, to Mrs. John T. Willis in response to a request for signed photographs and matchbook covers.  Rickover replies he has none and hopes the signature on the letter would serve the purpose.
