Signer of the Israeli Scroll of Independence
REMEZ, David (1886-1951). Israeli Labor leader. In 1923 he settled in Palestine and became a leader in the Socialist Party. On March 1, 1948 he proposed the establishment of the provisional government. With Ben-Gurion he was one of the leaders of the move towards statehood. Member of the first two Knessets. Typed letter signed, one page, Sept. 18, 1942 on the imprinted stationery of General Cooperative Association of Jewish Labor in Eretz, Israel.
