POST, Wiley (1898-1935). Famed American aviator. First pilot to fly around the world in a fixed aircraft. Died when his plane crashed in Alaska.
GATTY, Harold (1903-1957). Australian navigator and aviation pioneer. Charles Lindbergh called him “The Prince of Navigation”. He flew with Wiley Post as his navigator on the around the world flight. Gatty founded Fiji Airways. Their book: “Around the World in Eight Days, The Flight of the Winnie Mae”. Rand McNally & Co. August 1931, First printing. Three hundred-four pages, illustrated. Signed by both Wiley Post and Harold Gatty on the half title page. Light wear on the top of spine otherwise a very good copy.......................$750.00
