POLANSKI, Roman  (1933-   )  French/polish film director.  In 1969 his pregnant wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the Manson Family. In 1977 Polanski was arrested for the rape of a 13 year old girl. He fled to Paris before sentencing.  He is the winner of many awards including the Academy Award for Best Director for The Pianist.  Uncommon photograph, appx. 4"x5", B&W, head and shoulders pose appears to be directing a film.
