First Day cover affixed with the U.S. 6 cent Air Mail stamp cancelled Dayton, Ohio, May 29,1953. Nice cachet Golden Anniversary of Aviation. Boldly signed with an uncommon four-word sentiment: “With my best wishes W.T. Piper.” Many aviation autograph collections are minus a genuine signature of Piper. Beware of Piper forgeries.
