Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Prosecutor in the Trial of Lizzie Borden

MOODY, William H.  (1853-1917).  American Jurist, Nominated by President Theodore Roosevelt to be an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme . He held this position from 1906 to 1910.  U.S. Attorney General and Secretary of the Navy.  Moody at the age of 55 was in bad health, A special act was granted for Moody to retirement benefits not normally granted unless Justices reach an age of 70 or had ten years of service. A choice bold signature on a slip adding Haverhill, Mass (the town he died) in his hand............ $87.50
