Invented the Mills Bomb (Hand grenade) and England’s early Golf Clubs MILLS, Sir William  (1856-1932).  British developer during 1915 of the Allies most ubiquitous hand grenade of WWI known as the Mills Bomb.  In 1885 he established in the UK the first aluminum foundry and produced some of England’s earliest aluminum golf clubs. He was Knighted in 1922.  Fine typed letter signed regarding an autograph request and sends details about the weather in France compared to England.  A rather scarce autograph.....................$95.00
