MARSHALL, Henry (1883-1958). Noted composer. Possibly best known for his 1912 popular song “Be My Baby Bumble Bee”. The song was brought back and became popular in 1953 when sung by Doris Day in the movie “By The Light of the Silvery Moon”. This song is one of the most enduring songs of the early 1950’s motion pictures. Marshall has penned two lines of music and lyrics from “Be My Baby Bumble Bee”. Marshall has written: “Lyric by Stanley Murphy, Music by Henry Marshall”. Marshall has also inscribed and signed his name once again at the top left corner of the page.
