MANSON, Charles (1934-2017). American criminal who led what became known as the Manson family. He is known as the "icon of evil." Charged and convicted of murder and conspiracy. Sentenced to death but that was automatically commuted to life imprisonment by a 1972 court decision eliminating the death penalty in California. He was denied parole 12 times. His net worth at the time of his death was $400,000.
Document signed, two pages being a formal complaint against a Corcoran staff member for preventing Manson from filing a legitimate complaint of malfeasance in federal court and theft of $120. The $120.00 was to cover the court filing fee. Manson wants a full investigation into the matter, explanation for the delays in processing his legal papers and wants his $120.00 check which was stolen and wants it to be found and returned, plus more. Dated 1-16-97. The second full page attachment describes the description of the problem and in conclusion Acton Requested. Very boldly signed incorporating a Swastika on his signature. Together with his original copy “State of California” receipt for the purchase of the $120.00 check on 1/08/97. This receipt is also boldly signed by Manson incorporating a Swastika. Both legal papers in fine condition, the receipt has a small light stain and a small tear on one corner from a staple. Both choice items...............$450.00
