LUKE, Keye (1904- 1991) Luke had played Lee Chan opposite Warner Oland, his #1 son, in 1935 (Charlie Chan in Paris, Charlie Chan in Shanghai), 1936 (Charlie Chan at the Circus, Charlie Chan at the Race Track, Charlie Chan at the Opera), 1937 (Charlie Chan at the Olympics, Charlie Chan on Broadway, Charlie Chan at Monte Carlo) and opposite Peter Lorre in the 1938 film, Mr. Moto's Gamble. He was also known for playing Kato in two Green Hornet films, The Green Hornet (1940) and The Green Hornet Strikes Again (1941), and for his role as Dr. Lee Wong How in several films in the Dr. Gillespie series (1942, 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1947). Luke also had a large role in The Good Earth (1937) and was known to television viewers as Master Po on the TV series, Kung Fu (1972-1975) and the 1986 made-for-TV film, Kung Fu: The Movie. Luke, who also appeared regularly on M*A*S*H and other TV series, also lent his talents, and voice work for a long list of TV shows.
