Excellent Content Quotation By The Author of Madame Butterfly

LONG, John Luther  (1861-1027).  American novelist and playwright; his short story “Madame Butterfly” was adopted for the stage.  Very interesting typed quotation signed: “I use too little alcohol (and no tobacco at all) to give you any data for your inquiry. However, I fancy that artificial stimulation is of little value to literary work. I am sure it is of no permanent value. I mean, of course, the stimulation of drugs. That which comes from renewed enthusiasm  by whatever means, is quite another matter.  Sincerely yours, John Luther Long.”  Quite scarce and excellent content.
