HARDY, Oliver (1892-1957) The greatest comedy duo in the history of cinema. The thin English-born Laurel began acting with a British touring company before traveling to America in 1910. He started his film career in the silents from 1917. His future partner, the fat Hardy joined a troupe of minstrels before casually entering the film business. In 1926 the two came together and made many full length films. Their contrasting personalities, general clumsiness made them the most loved comedians of their time, a popularity that remains today. A fantastic pair of signatures together on a single album page. Very scarce as such. This is the finest pair of signatures of Laurel and hardy we have seen in over 40 years.
