KLAUSNER, Dr. Joseph (1874-1958). Scholar, appointed professor of Modern Hebrew Literature at Hebrew University (1926). Published hundreds of scholarly works on Jewish History and literature. Editor of Ha-Shiloah from 1950 and was Editor in Chief of Encyclopedia Hebraica. In 1949, Klausner ran against Chaim Weizmann for President of Israel. Scarce autograph letter signed on his name imprinted stationery. Jerusalem. Written and signed in Hebrew, not translated. Some light wrinkling, usual file holes and one tear repaired.
