KINKADE, Thomas (1958-2012). American painter of popular realistic, pastoral and idyllic subjects. Describes himself as “Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light.” Authored or has been the subject of 120 books. He is also remembered for urinating on a Winnie the Poo figure at a Disneyland Hotel. It is said that one in twenty American homes owns a copy of one of his paintings. Typed letter signed on his studio letterhead. May 8, 2002. Kinkade talks about his busy schedule and the importance of writing skills for young students. Talks about sending a signed photo.
