Scarce Document Signed By Nikita Khrushchev
KHRUSHCHEV, Nikita (1894-1971). Premier of the Soviet Union (1958-1964). He crushed the Hungarian Revolution and he “blinked” when threatened by war by President John F. Kennedy during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Rare document signed, two pages, as Chief of the Ukrainian Council of Ministers, dated November 23, 1947. Letter regarding the opening of stores and discusses the lack of opening the needed amount of stores for selling bread, etc. Letter of translation included. Signed in green ink by Nikita Khrushchev and countersigned by Demian Korotchenko, Secretary of Central Committee of Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Ukraine.
