Actor who Killed an Actord KELLY, Paul  (1899-1956).  American actor. His wonderful career was interrupted for a couple of years in 1927 when he was found guilty of manslaughter after killing actor Ray Raymond in a fist fight.  The motivating factor was Raymond’s wife, Dorothy MacKaye, who married Kelly in 1931.
