JENNER, Sir William 1st Baronet (1815-1898). Doctor who discovered the distinction between typhus and typhoid. During 1862, Jenner was appointed Physician in Ordinary to Queen Victoria. In 1863 he was appointed Physician in Ordinary to the Prince of Wales. Jenner attended both the Prince Consort and the Prince of Wales during their attacks of typhoid fever. Autograph letter signed, one page. N.d., 63 Brook Street, 7”X4”. to Dr. Goodson explaining that he is just off to Windsor Castle, asking Goodson to telegraph the Castle to confirm some railway times for their meeting.
