IHLEFELD, Oberst Herbert (1914-1995). German fighter pilot during WWII. Flew with the JG-1-11-52-77. Ace credited with 130 victories and flying over 1,000 missions. He fought in the Spanish Civil War as well and credited with 7 victories. He became the fifth fighter pilot to score 100 victories. He helped form the Jagdwaffe. He was awarded the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Biography which incorporates a 2.5”x3.5” portrait of Ihlefeld, head & shoulders pose in uniform. Signed below his portrait.
