HUNT, Rex (1926-2012). Governor, Commander in Chief and Vice-Admiral of the Falkland Islands. High Commissioner of the British Antarctic Territory. He became a household name after the April 1982 invasion of the Falkland Islands by the Argentine Navy and Army. He was taken prisoner after a brief scuffle. Very attractive and colorful cover commemorating the Falkland Islands Victory Parade. British Queen Elizabeth postage stamp cancelled 12 October 1982 London. Very colorful cachet.
