Large Piece of Original Hindenburg Outer Covering
Hindenburg. German dirigible which was destroyed by fire and explosion as it landed in Lakehurst, New Jersey on May 6, 1937. Thirty-six of the 97 passengers on board were lost. Original piece of the outer covering showing much evidence of the fire. Measures 1.25”x1.75.” Removed from the crash site by a woman who lived in the area and helped clean up the debris. Together with a photograph of the disaster. A choice historical combination for framing.........$275.00
