HERZOG, Aura (Mrs. Chaim Herzog) (1928- ) Born in Egypt to a Jewish family. Widow of Chaim Herzog, Sixth president of the State of Israel. During the War of Independence she served as an officer in the Science Corp. She was wounded during the seize of Jerusalem. Uncommon, early typed letter signed, Oct.2, 1954 on the printed letterhead of “Omen” Mizrachi Women’s Organization In Israel. Not translated and signed in Hebrew. Letter’s of the First Lady’s of Israel are many more times difficult to obtain than one of their husbands.
