HEMINGWAY, Ernest (1899-1961). American author and journalist. He had a strong influence on 20th Century fiction. He survived two plane crashes. Hemingway won the Pulitzer Prize For Fiction (1953) and the Nobel prize For Literature (1954). He committed suicide in 1961. Roberto Herrera was a Spaniard who fled the Franco regime who was a very good personal friend and photographer of Hemingway. They spent much time drinking together in El Floridita in Havana.
