Very Scarce Original Sketch of Harvey
STEWART, James (Jimmy) (1908-1997). American actor, Brigadier General in the US Army serving 1941-1947. Awarded the Academy Award for Best Actor in The Philadelphia Story (1941).
He appeared in 80 films from 1935-1991. One of his most noted films was Harvey (1950). A story about befriending an invisible rabbit. How Stewart imagined the rabbit is what he drew in this oversized sketch of Harvey. This hand drawn sketch is accomplished using a bold black felt tip pen on an 8.5”x11” card stock. In addition, Stewart has boldly signed his name in full, at the bottom right-hand corner. He has added the name Harvey in the bottom left-hand corner. In near fine condition. At one time, the autograph market was flooded with these type sketches and about 80%, maybe more of those sold are considered not genuine....$450.00
