Scarce Christmas Card of First Lady Mary Lord Harrison HARRISON, Mary Lord (1858-1948). At the age of 37 she married former President Benjamin Harrison who was 62 years old. The marriage horrified Benjamin Harrison’s grown children from his first marriage and they did not attend the wedding. Folding Holiday Greeting card with a color painting of a bouquet of flowers on the cover, signed in print by the artist. When the card is opened, on the third panel Mary Harrison has written: “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both and may the New Year hold much happiness for you, Mary Lord Harrison”.  Very fine............ $225.00
