HARRISON, Mary Lord (1858-1948). Second wife of the 23rd President of the United States. At the age of 37 she married Benjamin Harrison who was 62. Harrison’s grown children, horrified at the news did not attend the wedding. Her early Christmas card which depicts a bouquet of flowers on the cover, signed in print by the artist. When the card is open, on the third panel she writes: “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both and may the New Year hold much happiness for you, Mary Lord Harrison”.
