Rare Book Signed by Ralph Ginzburg- My Eight Years in Prison
GINZBURG, Ralph (1929-2006). Author, editor and publisher. He was the “Icon” for free speech during the 1960’s. He helped set off the Sexual Revolution during the 1960’s. He published books, magazines on erotica and art. The Supreme Court suppressed his quarterly “Eros”. The court found Eros obscene. It was a quarterly on the joys of love and sex that featured erotic works by such masters as Rembrandt, D.H. Lawrence, Picasso, Mark Twain, Michelangelo, Ray Bradbury, Shakespeare and more. Ginzburg’s book My Eight Months in Prison Castrated. Avant Garde Books, 1973, First Edition, 35 pages. Inscribed: “For Al Sideman, whose brotherly letters helped me live through the ordeal. In gratitude, Ralph”. In fine condition with the very scarce dust jacket. Anything signed by Ralph Ginzburg can be considered quite scarce and this book is very desirable..............$200.00
