Famous German Ace - Killed in Combat
GALLAND, William-Ferdinand “Wutz” (1914-17 August 1943). A Major in the German Luftwaffe. Flew with the JG 26 and credited with 55 victories. He flew 186 combat missions. He was one of the 4 Galland brothers to serve in the Luftwatffe and was a younger brother of Adolf Galland. He was shot down and killed in action by American Ace Bud Mahurin of the 56th fighter group. Rare A.L.S. one and a half pages signed “Wutz.” Not translated and in fine condition… Together with a T.L.S. one page, 27 August 1991 on the letterhead of National Security Industrial Association to autograph collector/dealer Doug Miller by Walker “Bud‘ Mahurin............SOLD
