GACY, John Wayne. (1942-1994). Convicted for the rape and murder of 33 boys between 1972 and 1978. Twenty-seven of his victims were buried in a crawl space under the floor of his home. Best known as “The Killer Clown.” His registered clown costumes are “Patches” and “Pogo.” He is also known for his statement of saying he was only guilty of running a cemetery without a license. His execution was without question a media sensation. Original painting titled “Skull Clown” painted on a Fredrix canvas board, 10”x14”. Signed on the front in red paint “J.W. Gacy.” On the verso he has written in ink: “Skull Clown. Oil # 1573-97 and has signed his name John W. Gacy.” Some red paint splatter near the top left of the painting obviously done by Gacy. SOLD
